Undergraduate Studies

Undergraduate Studies at Jackson State University provides a quality assurance program  for first and second year students that prepare them to contribute to the social, cultural, and economic development of the state, nation and world.  The major areas in Undergraduate Studies include the First Year Experience, the W.E.B. DuBois Honors College and the University College. Undergraduate Studies in collaboration with the academic schools and colleges ensures that students are prepared for the rigor of their intended major, are retained and engaged in leadership, service, citizenship, and community development activities.

Other support areas in Undergraduate Studies: The New Student Orientation, The Assessment Program, Academic Advisement and Counseling Services, Retention Services, and the Comprehensive Academic Support Center.
